Loose powder is great for touch ups and getting rid of extra unwanted shine. Pressed or cake powder is great for adding on top of other products such as concealers and foundations. Make-up powder should be applied after everything else has been put on. This will help to set, or help prolong, other make-up such as concealer and foundations. Bring powder with you in case you start sweating and need to keep off the shine for a little bit longer.

Eye Liner

A good eye liner helps promote your eyes, a great but often forgotten feature on a woman’s face. Learning how to apply eye liner takes practice but once you learn it, it’s an item you’ll wonder how you lived without. There are varying shades of eye liner ranging from the common blacks and browns to the white, silver and even blue or green. Black eye liner is common and works for most women. Brown isn’t as dramatic as black but can work if a subtle highlight is necessary. For a really bold statement, get a white, silver or other colour eye liner. Experimenting really is the best option when trying to decide which eye liner to buy. Carry a couple of eye liners in your purse wherever you go and you’ll have instant access to accent of your eyes.

Eye Shadow

Eye shadow also works to accent the eyes. It brings out or tones down the colour of the eyes depending on what effect the woman wants. Experimenting with colours is the best way to find out what works. Keep at least one or two of your favorite eye shadow colours in your purse. Don’t forget to keep extra applicators as well.

Lipstick

What is a woman without lipstick? If you had to choose only one make-up item to take with you, choose lipstick. Even a subtle coloured lipstick can make the difference. Lipsticks are so easy to take along with you. They fit right in your purse. They fit in your pockets. They fit just about anywhere.
